One encounter with a homeless girl, stealing a photograph from her, and finally a discussion and revealing the true nature of homelessness – led to a life-changing decision. All this has happened to Lee Jeffries, UK photographer who after this twist of faith, totally changed his perception on life and found a new subject of his art. The pictures below delineate homeless people throughout Europe and US, and stunning as they are, they seem to invoke the deepest feelings from sympathy, empathy, sadness and repulsion, disgust to admiration of life’s most suffering children.
